We have long said the immortal event of November 4, 1979 was without the least doubt a master stroke of revolutionary strategy by “students adhering to the path of Imam Khomeini (RA)” whose capture of the US espionage den in Tehran made the Islamic Republic of Iran immune forever from the plots of the Great Satan.

This truth is all the more evident today forty-four years later when we see the bloodcurdling events in Gaza where super-terrorist US and its terroristic brat the illegal Zionist entity are sadistically shedding torrents of blood of the persecuted Palestinians – mostly of children and women as well as of medics, journalists, Muslim ulema, Christian priests, and all other civilians, in addition to the targeted bombing of hospitals, mosques, churches, schools, refugee camps, relief convoys, markets, and the whole infrastructure.

These organized crimes against humanity are happening while the world only issues verbal denunciation and the Arab states which worship at the devilish altar of the US dare not summon the Islamic courage to mobilize military resources against their avowed enemy Israel in defence of the defenceless people of Gaza.

Salutations to the soul of that Sage of the Age (Imam Khomeini) who hailed as the “Second Revolution” the capture of the US den of spies where the so-called diplomats were caught red-handed shredding and trying to burn highly classified documents of American devilry in Iran and the region. 

Consequently, in accordance with the Holy Qur’an, the Father of the Islamic Revolution whose immortal words such as “the US cannot do a damn thing”; “Israel is a cancerous tumour”, continue to inspire us, designated the historic 13th Aban (November 4) as “Youm-Allah” or a “Special Day” of the Almighty Creator Who set the Earth in motion around the Sun while it revolves on its axis to regulate days and nights, highlighting in the process certain decisive days of the year as “Ayyam-Allah” (14:6).

No wonder, the present Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has said ‘Iblis’ (Lucifer) only tempts mankind to commit sins and crimes, but the US as the Great Satan practically wreaks havoc on humanity and destroys all humanitarian values.

He adds: “Our enmity is with the satanic nature of the US regimes and not with the American people who are also oppressed by the regimes in the White House, so when we say “death to the US”, we mean the satanic elements that run it, and who have never hidden their inherent animosity towards Iran.”

Yesterday, throughout the length and breadth of Iran millions of people took to the streets – braving rains in some parts of the country – to mark the anniversary of the capture of the espionage den, waving the Iranian and Palestinian flags while torching the two symbols of Satanism (the US and Israeli flags) and denouncing the genocide in Gaza.

Their vociferous chants of “death to the US” and “death to Israel” spilled into neighbouring countries to awaken the conscience of fellow Muslims and remind them of their Islamic duty to not just knit ranks for liberation of the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque but first to expel from their homelands the main hurdle in this cherished goal, the devilish US and its CENTCOM terrorists.

The capture of the espionage den in Tehran was indeed a great blow to the US which was planning to overthrow the Islamic Republic as it had done in 1953, in complicity with Britain, to unseat Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq and restore the rootless Pahlavi regime.

The Islamic revolutionaries thus nipped in the bud the US bid which explains the avowed hostility of Uncle Sam towards the Iranian people, against whom none of its plots have succeeded, beginning with the airborne invasion that bit the dust in the sands of Tabas, the 8-year war through Saddam of Baghdad’s repressive Ba’th minority regime, the murdering of 17,000 citizens including senior officials by the MKO hypocrites, the continued spate of sanctions, Israel’s killing of Iranian scientists, takfiri terrorism, and the cowardly assassination of Qasem Soleimani and his Iraqi colleague in the fight against terrorism, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

If only the Iraqi people had shown iron resolve in taking over the US den of espionage in Baghdad on 31st December 2019, they could have saved their country from the claws of the Yankees.

Today, thanks to the historic event of 4th November 1979, Uncle Sam’s bloodied nose looks so awful that no amount of cosmetic surgery will ever set it right, whatever the gravity of its crimes that are now evident in the carnage in Gaza in a futile bid to guarantee the precarious survival of Usurper Israel which is weaker than a spider web.
