Iran Futsal Team Beats Uzbekistan in Friendly Match
TEHRAN – Iran national futsal team won a friendly game versus Uzbekistan in Tehran’s Martyr Dasgerdi Stadium on Sunday 5-3.
Head Coach Vahid Shamsaie’s team had lost the fiset half 2-nil till 30 seconds before the end of the game’s first half, but Saeed Ahmad-Abbasi scored Iran’s only goal right then.
In the second half Iran increased its pressure on Uzbekistan’s goal field, which led to Mehdi Karimi’s 2-2 tie goal in 8th minute of that half, and only a few seconds later Hussein Tabibi managed to turn the result in Iran’s favor for the first time in this game.
Uzbekistan tried to score the 3-3 tie goal and in the 8th minute of the second half they got a penalty shot as the ball touched Mahdi Asadshir’s hand and the shot turned into Uzbekistan’s tie score.
Only a few seconds later Iran’s Ahmad Abbasi gained the ball quite close to Uzbekistan’s net, turned beautifully and scored Iran’s 4-3 winning point.
Five minutes before the end of the game Iran’s Mehdi Karimi scored another beautiful goal to increase the score difference to two goals.
The Uzbek team tried hard to change the result after receiving that goal, but Iran’s good defense, and especially their good goal keeper’s shining performance did not let them do so.
Iran and Uzbekistan national futsal teams will play one more friendly in the same stadium at 8 pm, this coming Tuesday.
