TEHRAN – President Ebrahim Raisi here Sunday emphasized the establishment of electronic government and moving towards a smart government for more transparency in the administrative system.
Addressing the first national conference to promote transparency and its role in administrative health and fighting corruption, the president said transparency is not an imported principle and has its roots in our religious and Islamic culture.
“The basis of this approach is that people should be included in the circulation of information, contracts and agreements, and social and cultural activities,” the president said.
Raisi also said the prevalence of electronic government is only 25 percent, which is not favorable. “We must move towards the establishment of a smart government,” he added.
