Iran Mercantile Exchange Weekly Trade Grows 25%

TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,944,251 tonnes of commodities with a total value of $771 million were traded on its domestic and exporting halls, logging growths of 25% and 48% in terms of volume and value respectively in the last week
The IME’s report added that, over, 507,000 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities including, 1,255,339 tonnes of cement, 404,000 tonnes of iron ore, 746,854 tonnes of steel, 85,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 3,250 tonnes of zinc, 7,325 tonnes of aluminum, 7,249 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 39 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 29 kg of gold bars and 400 tonnes of coke with total value of $552 million were traded on its trading halls.
It also said, on both domestic and export pits of IME’s oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 85,969 tonnes of polymeric products, 123,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 30,500 tonnes of lube cut, 35,662 tonnes of chemicals, 200 tonnes of sulfur, 3,303 tonnes of base oil, 640 tonnes of insulation and 115,630 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $208 million were traded in the last week.
The IME also traded within the same week 5,833 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
