When the Father of the Islamic Revolution called the US “the Great Satan”, it was not an emotional outburst, neither an expression of helplessness against American might, nor was it a misnomer.
As a matter of fact, Imam Khomeini’s (RA) now famous phrase in his speech on November 5, 1979 – a day after the capture of the US den of spies in Tehran that was operating under guise of an embassy – was the most apt, accurate, and deserving description of history’s most evil regime whose crimes around the world ranged from the terrorist atomic bombing of the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Nagasaki in 1945 to its 25-year long stranglehold on Iran to destroy the country’s faith, culture, economy, and identity.
He also dismissed Washington’s threats to intensify its devilry against Iran and the Iranian people through his prophetic sentence: “The US cannot do a damn thing.”
Today, forty-three years later the satanic behaviour of the US hasn’t changed a bit, and so has the angelic spirit of resistance of the Islamic Republic to decisively defeat Diabolis and its hordes of traitors and terrorists whenever they raise their ugly heads in Iran or anywhere in the region.
This is fully evident in Iran’s timely help to the people of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen, and elsewhere to foil the fiendish bids of the Zionists, the Salafis, the Ba’thists, the Takfiris, and all other Godless agents of imperialism.
This was the reason like Lucifer the perpetual loser, the US ordered the MKO hypocrites, the perfidious PJAK, the Komalah criminals, the blasphemous Bahais, and the dastardly Daeshis, along with a group of thugs and characterless women to indulge in scattered incidents of rioting in a few localities of Tehran and some other cities.
Thanks to the vigilance and martyrdom-seeking spirit for safeguarding public security of the police personnel whose gentlemanly behaviour is a byword – unlike their counterparts in the US and several other countries – the riots petered out in a few days despite the vain temptations from Washington, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv to the cowardly rioters to continue their violence and vandalism.
Agnostics, apostates, and the impious do not dare to confront the God-oriented national will of the Iranian masses, whose multimillion strong rallies over the past few weeks throughout the country nipped in the bud the latest attempt of the US to tarnish the image of the Islamic Republic and force it to bow to the West’s plot to accept the US-breached JCPOA without lifting of the economic sanctions.
Horrified at the failure of the devilish design to destabilize Iran, Joe Biden of the so-called White House who is out of touch with ground realities, has begun to rave and rant by brazenly backing the routed rioters through frenzied utterances that “violence will (should) continue for a long, long time in Iran”
In response to this undiplomatic and diabolical behaviour towards a sovereign independent country, President Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi rightly remarked:
“The words of the American president – who is inciting chaos, terror and the destruction of another country – serve as a reminder of the eternal words of the Founder of the Islamic Republic who called the US the Great Satan.”
