TEHRAN (IP) - The 39th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) will start on October 19 in Tehran.
“The short film festival has one comedy in each feature film section, which is unprecedented,” the festival’s secretary, Mehdi Azarpendar, said in a press conference.
According to the Tehran Short Film Festival secretary, 99 films will participate in the event, including nine fantasy, five mystery, 3 horror movies, 2 war films, 20 drama, 2 children’s films, 6 melodramas, and 2 experimental films.
The 39th Tehran International Short Film Festival will be held from October 19 to 24, 2022, at Mellat Cineplex.
Since 2020, TISFF has been an ACADEMY AWARDS qualifying event, and the winner of its Grand Prix will be introduced to OSCARS.
