Zionist Regime Training Terrorists in Iraqi Kurdistan
TEHRAN -- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force Brigadier General Muhammad Pakpour says that the occupying regime of Israel has been training terrorists in the Iraqi Kurdistan for sabotage operations in Iran.
He said Iran has warned the Iraqi Kurdistan authorities that the presence and operation of terrorist groups near its western borders will not be tolerated.
“About a month and half ago, the ministry of intelligence identified and arrested the terrorists who planned to conduct acts of sabotage on Isfahan nuclear facilities,” he said.
In their confessions, they revealed that the Zionist regime dispatches trained teams from among those terrorists to carry out terrorist operations inside Iran, Pakpour said.
“The Israeli regime is utilizing terrorist bases in northern Iraq. Therefore, these bases can be considered belonging to the Zionist regime, because their benefits go to the occupying regime,” he added.
After some of those armed teams entered Iran recently, “we first started shelling the bases of the terrorists on the borders of our country with artillery and rockets, and then we hit the bases of the terrorist elements 130 kilometers off our borders”, Gen. Pakpour said.
Forty enemy targets were hit inside the Iraqi Kurdistan region with 70 missiles and dozens of drones with 99 percent accuracy, he added.
In a statement on Thursday, the IRGC Ground Force declared that the operations against terror bases will continue until all anti-Iran separatist and terrorist outfits in the region lay down their arms and surrender.
