IME Weekly Trade Exceeds $390 Million
TEHRAN –The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 1,961,849 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $394 million were traded on its physical market in the last week.
The IME’s report said that on its metals and minerals trading floor trade, over 1,627,000 tonnes of commodities, including 924,013 tonnes of cement, 293,000 tonnes of iron ore, 256,070 tonnes of steel, 152,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 355 tonnes of zinc, 5,575 tonnes of aluminum, 1,200 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 7 kg of gold bars and 143 automobiles with total value of $223 million were traded in the last week.
The report added that over 328,480 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities including 83,893 tonnes of polymeric products, 103,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 34,000 tonnes of lube cut, 27,160 tonnes of chemicals, 36,000 tonnes of sulfur, 3,135 tonnes of base oil, 540 tonnes of insulation and 71,802 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $167 million were traded in last week.
The IME also traded within the same week 5,756 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
