Periodic Meeting of Iran’s Assembly of Experts Opens
TEHRAN – The Assembly of Experts, a panel of clerics electing leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, convened a periodic session in Tehran on Tuesday morning.
The 88-member Assembly of Experts opened the tenth session of its current term in the former building of the Iranian Parliament in Tehran.
The meeting will continue for two days.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian will be a keynote speaker in the ongoing session of the assembly.
The top Iranian diplomat is going to give the clerics a report on the regional developments and the process of negotiations on lifting the sanctions on Iran and reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
