Cultural Documentary on Way to Italy
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian documentary ‘ISATIS’ has made its way to the 2022 edition of the RAM film festival in Italy.
Iranian media reports said ‘ISATIS’, directed by Alireza Dehqan, will compete at the 34th edition of the festival, which was once known as the International Festival of Archaeological Film.
It is a poetic documentary on a portion of Iran’s culture narrated by four elements of nature.
“A story of the hands of the people who turned soil into elixir... and reached from nonexistence to existence. An old story of the true value of water... A story of a town with all its vicissitudes that has been shining like agate in the heart of the dry and barren soil of the desert. A story of the kind dialogue between religions and the scent of faith narrated by water, wind, earth and fire,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The RAM film festival aims at “reaching and informing the general public about the preservation and enhancement of the world heritage and the archaeological research”, according to an online submission platform.
The 34th edition of the event will kick off on September 28 and run until October 2.
