Iran, Iraq Sign Cinematic Agreement
TEHRAN -- Iran and Iraq have signed a cinematic cooperation agreement.
The cultural officials of the two countries signed the cooperation agreement in Iraq on Monday July 27, 2022.
Increasing coordination and cooperation in the field of cinema, exchanging information, mutual researches and producing works for children, documentaries and short films are among the main goals of the agreement.
Improving the level of technical and specialized knowledge through the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, facilitating the holding of film weeks, the presence of filmmakers from the two countries in festivals and other cultural events are among other agreed goals.
Facilitating the exchange and participation of expert forces in the two countries’ cinematographic projects are among the main axes agreed by the two countries.
Also the two countries plan to launch workshops and to have consultation on building cinematic locations and cooperate in launching ceremonies.
