Andisheh Center Hosts Watercolor and Pastel Festival
TEHRAN -- The first international festival of watercolors and pastel IWS AVID STUDIO is being held at the Andisheh Cultural Center in Tehran.
The exhibition’s theme is nature in spring. Works by artists from 14 countries including Iran, Mexico, India, Philippines, Australia, Italy, Slovenia, USA, Singapore, Russia, Thailand, Bulgaria, Suriname, Taiwan, and Venezuela are on display.
The professional jury masters to select the listed works are as follows:
• Atanur Dogan, Turkey/Canada (IWS globe founder and president)
• David Taylor, Australia (International watercolor master)
• Javad Soleimanpour, Iran/Turkey (International Pastel master)
• LaFe, Thailand (International watercolor master)
•Prafull Swant, India (International master)
•Sare Mohebian,Iran/Russia (IWS Globe Manager, Owner of Sare Art Gallery Moscow)
• ZeZe Lai, Hong Kong (IWS vice president, president of IWS Hong Kong and IWS book)
• Mohamad Ali Yazdchi,Iran (International watercolor master)
Prizes will be awarded to 6 winners in two categories: pastel and watercolor.
Meanwhile, 120 artworks selected by the jury will enter the exhibition. They will receive a printed certificate of winners+ and digital catalogs.
Also, the top three artists in each technique will be awarded a certificate of winners and Artistic products including a set of Rembrandt Soft Pastels- NEVSKAYA PALITRA st. Petersburg). They will be awarded to attend the next IWS Avid Studio event free of charge.
The festival will end on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
