U.S. Lawmakers Urge New Arms for Zionist Regime Against Iran
WASHINGTON (Dispatches) -- A group of U.S. lawmakers have urged President Joe Biden to accelerate the delivery of refueling aircraft, fighter jets and military helicopters to the occupying regime of Israel in order to “defend itself from Iran”.
In a letter dated 7 April, 11 Republican Senators led by Senator Tom Cotton urged the White House to “urgently fulfill America’s obligation to help Israel defend itself by giving it the tools it needs to prevent a nuclear armed Iran.”
The Islamic Republic regards nuclear weapons as haram (forbidden in Islam) as per a decree issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The most intrusive inspections by the UN have also confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.
However, pro-Israeli American politicians always use Iran’s nuclear program as a pretext to push for arming the Zionist regime.
The senators called on the Biden administration to expedite the delivery of refueling tankers, F-35 and F-15 fighter jets, and CH-35K helicopters to Israel.
The purchase of refueling planes, which could support fighter jets in a long-range operation such as one purportedly targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, has been a top priority for Zionist leaders.
In December, the occupying regime of Israel signed a $3.1b deal with the U.S. as part of a wider upgrade of its air force capabilities to purchase two Boeing KC-46 refueling planes and CH-35K heavy transport helicopters.
The Zionist regime has a habit of threatening to strike Iran at will, but it has never dared to do so, with Iranian officials warning that such a mistake would be its last. For years, the occupying regime has also carried out covert actions to stymie Tehran’s nuclear program, including the assassination of scientists inside Iran and cyber attacks, but those attacks have failed to derail Iran’s advances.
