TEHRAN -- The death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran rose to 138,711 on Friday, after 139 more people succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said.
During the period, 3,953 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported, taking the overall cases to 7,117,544. The ministry said over 63.46 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 56.07 million have received the second dosage, and more than 24.79 million have gotten the booster shots.
