Films’ Lineup Sweeps Awards at Indian Event

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The Khamrubu International Short Film Festival in India has awarded a lineup of Iranian films.
The second edition of the Indian film event has bestowed several awards to a number of Iranian short films in different categories.
The Best Animation film award has gone to ‘The Sun’ directed by Omid Seifi. In the same category of the fest, Mohsen Salehi Fard’s ‘The Statue’ could grab the Critics’ Award.
‘The Hands’ directed by Parviz Rajaei took home the best narrative short film award and ‘Dancing With Rainbow’ by Hassan Mokhtari was the film that came first in the documentary section of the event winning the best documentary award.
The best editing award was given to ‘Victim’, a film directed by Mohammad Javad Balqadr.
Acclaimed short flick, ‘Aparat’, a work by Hassan Najmabadi, topped the best cinematography and best child star awards.
And last but not least is Saeed Alinejad’s ‘Aphasia’, which was selected as the recipient of best female child star award of the event.
The Khamrubu International Short Film Festival is an annual event that picks and awards the bests of the short film industry.
This year’s edition of the event was held on February 26-27.
