UAE, Iran Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments
TEHRAN - Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian and his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in a telephone conversation have discussed mutual cooperation and regional developments.
During a phone talk, Amir-Abdollahian recalled the policies pursued by Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi with regard to the expansion of relations with neighboring and regional countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Iranian foreign minister underlined that continuous consultations between the two countries are needed.
“Iran’s relations with the UAE were expanding and the Islamic Republic is determined to continue its cooperation with the friendly and neighboring countries, including the UAE,” Amir-Abdollahian said.
The Iranian foreign minister, meantime, invited his UAE counterpart to visit Iran at his earliest possible opportunity.
Sheikh Abdullah, meantime, appreciated Iran’s efforts for establishing close and continuous talks with the UAE, and said that he believes that both countries efforts are aimed at development of ties.
