Rio Festival Applauds ‘Daily Massacre in Tehran’
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Daily Massacre in Tehran’ has grabbed award at the Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival – Curta Cinema – in Brazil.
Hessam Hamidi’s latest directorial experience won the best directing award at the 2021 edition of the event.
A synopsis for the short film reads “Foad is a 12-year-old boy who comes to Tehran to make money and support his mother. He is willing and ready to take on any paying job, but each job brings with it a set of new challenges”.
The cast list of the film includes Hamid-Reza Karami, Mehran Atashzaee, Rouzbeh Sinaki, and Mehrnoush Salimi.
The Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival – Curta Cinema is exclusively dedicated to the promotion and exhibition of short-length audiovisual works. The Festival shows works finalized in 35 mm as well as digital format, with a maximum length of 30 minutes, and is both competitive and informative.
The 31st edition of the festival was held on November 3-10, 2021.
