Atlanta Hawks Beat Houston Rockets 124-95

WASHINGTON (Dispatches) - The Atlanta Hawks have tuned up for their first trip to the playoffs since 2017 with a 124 to 95 win over the Houston Rockets in the regular season finale.
The Hawks scored 72 points in the first half, while keeping the rockets at 54 to take an 18 point lead into the 3rd quarter. Atlanta were flying high after the break, outperforming the Rockets in both quarters to secure the number 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.
They will face off with the New York Knicks in the first round.Atlanta were led by rookie Onyeka Okongwu, who tallied 21 points while D. J. Augustin chipped in 18 for Houston who sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
