Iran's Award- Winning Drama Applauded at Turkish Festival

TEHRAN (IFILM) --  Iranian short flick ‘Zen’ by Mohammad-Teza Golpour has claimed an award at the 13th International Rotary Short Film Festival (ROF?FE) in Turkey.
The Iranian flick, which is a poetic narration of the lives of elderly people in nursing homes, succeeded to bring Golpour the special jury award of the 2021 edition of the Rotary.
"The wind blows and flutters the door of the nursing home, the eyes are fixed on the door, and waiting. It overwhelms everyone in their dreams,” a short synopsis of ‘Zen’ reads.
Profilm Company is responsible for the international distribution of Golpour’s latest directorial experience.
Previously, ‘Zen’ succeeded to grab the best drama award at the 11th the New Media Short Film Festival in China.
On December 2020, the short flick was also screened at the 10th Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Jordan.
The cast list features some new names, including Mahmoud Jamei, Mehri Ale-Aqa, Terodi Falamaki, and Heidar Toloueenia.
The ROF?FE is a platform made to provide the short film art a well-deserved support and importance.
The Turkish city of Adana hosted the ROF?FE on March 19-23, 2021.
