IME Weekly Trade Tops $443mn

TEHRAN (Dispatches) – Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that 745,073 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $443 million,  showing 102 and 109 percent of growth in terms of volume and value respectively,  in domestic trading and export halls in the past week (April 3 - 9).
The report said that over 334,819 tonnes of mineral and industrial products including  trading 329,239 tonnes of steel, 4,680 tonnes of copper, 685 tonnes of aluminum, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 100 tonnes of lead with total value of $219 million were traded in IME domestic and export halls last week.
And also, it added 408,779 tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, including 217,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 68,103 tonnes of bitumen, 57,546 tonnes of polymeric products, 26,420 tonnes of chemicals, 33,200 tonnes of lube cut, 3,293 tonnes of base oil, 50 tonnes of argon, 250 tonnes of insulation rolls and 1,275 tonnes of sulfur with total value of $201 million were trade in the domestic and export halls of IME last week.
 Based on this report, the IME also traded on its agricultural trading floor 2,500 kg of saffron.
 Moreover, the exchange traded 1,473 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
