What Ails the Islamic Ummah?

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

The blessed 27th of Rajab was observed with the usual fanfare by Muslims all over world – either on Thursday or Friday because of a day’s difference in the sighting of the new moon of this sacred month – but this year’s celebrations to mark the Almighty’s formal entrustment of the universal message of Islam to His Last and Greatest Messenger, were overshadowed by the treason of certain renegades in our midst.
It is obvious Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) is not pleased with those of weak faith in the ranks of the Ummah for turning a blind eye to the damage being done to humanity and humanitarian values by traitors and hypocrites.
An example in this regard was the recent betrayal of the struggle for liberation of Islam’s former qibla (direction of the daily ritual prayers) by the rootless regimes of the UAE and Bahrain, with the tacit support of Saudi Arabia whose informal ties with the occupiers of Bayt al-Moqaddas are no longer a secret.
It is anybody’s guess, if these regimes have faith in the Prophet’s "Mab’ath” (ordainment) or his "Meraj” (ascension to the highest point in the heavens and back to Planet Earth in a few moments on the same blessed night of 27th Rajab with Bayt al-Moqaddas being a halt on the celestial journey).
If the Aal-e Nahyan, the Aal-e Khalifa, and the Aal-e Saud were Muslims at heart, they would never have backstabbed the oppressed Palestinian people, let alone establish diplomatic ties with the devilish Zionists – the slanderers of Prophet Jesus and his mother, the Virgin Mary (peace upon them).
Moreover, these clannish and cultish regimes, which are the creation of Britain, are not even ashamed of worshipping at the altar of the Great Satan, the U.S., which is the archenemy of Islam and Muslims.
They not only fill up the American coffers with hundreds of billions of dollars of oil wealth for purchase of state-of-the-art military hardware, but use these lethal weapons to kill fellow Muslims – both in their own territories (e.g. Bahrain, Saudi Arabia) and in other countries, like Yemen.
It is now six years that the minority Wahhabi regime of Riyadh is senselessly slaughtering fellow Muslims and Arabs, the Yemenis, and has so far killed over two hundred thousand men, women, and children, beside making millions of others homeless and  destroying the infrastructure.
In addition, the Saudis of Najd, who are in occupation of Hijaz, the Land of Revelation, since they unleashed torrents of Muslim blood to seize the two holiest Islamic cities of Mecca and Medina in 1926, have no qualms in funding terrorist outfits to destabilize Arab and other Muslim countries!
They indulge in such sedition, either out of sadism, or to satisfy the insatiable hegemonic greed of their master, the U.S.
So the recurring questions that arise are: with such a criminal record and history of the carnage of Muslims, are these regimes really Muslim?
Do they have faith in Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and the universal message of brotherhood he preached?
Why are these regimes averse to the policy of Islamic Unity that Iran has espoused to knit Muslim ranks and solidify the Ummah against its archenemies, ever since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979?
Muslims all over the world need to do a real soul-searching to find answers to such questions that clearly indicate the widening gap between the present set up in most countries and the dynamic teachings of the Holy Qur’an – the Last and Final Heavenly Scripture that the Almighty Creator granted to Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) for the guidance of all mankind.
