Zangeneh Underlines U.S. Failure in Stopping Iran’s Oil Export
TEHRAN (Dispatches) - Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh stressed that the enemies, specially the U.S., have failed to bring Iran’s crude exports to a halt.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 25th Iran Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Company, Zangeneh said, "By relying on its domestic capabilities, Iran is determined to counter the U.S. sanctions,” and referred to the failure of the U.S. economic terrorism to stop Iran’s oil exports.
He pointed out that Iran hopes to be able to achieve self-sufficiency in the gas turbine engine and oil pumping industry in the next two years by relying on knowledge-based companies.
"Tehran produces 80 percent of its fixed oil equipment domestically, and this amount is less than the amount related to recycled equipment,” Zangeneh added.
Foreign Firms Need Iranian Partners to Work in Iran
Zangeneh said for foreign companies to be able to work in Iran’s oil industry, they need to partner with Iranian companies.
He said Iran had always welcomed presence of foreign companies in its energy projects, adding various conditions would be considered for foreign firms to operate in Iran but partnership with Iranian companies is a must for any type of work in this field.
Zangeneh said human resources available in the country had made Iran withstand the hardships in recent years.
He further voiced his support for local manufacturers, adding: "If you are planning to work with foreign partners, you must ask them for market presence as presence in markets is now regarded as a form of technology.”
