Iran to Inaugurate Largest Gas Refinery in Mideast Despite U.S. Sanctions

 TEHRAN (Dispatches) – Iran to open Khuzestan Bidboland gas refinery as the largest gas refinery in the Middle East and west Asia on Thursday.
The CEO of Khuzestan Bidboland gas refinery Mahmoud Aminnejad said that despite U.S. illegal sanctions, the largest gas refinery in the Middle East and west Asia has been constructed by Iranian experts and it will be inaugurated on Thursday.
He went on to say that the refinery was built in 36 months and is a symbol of Iran’s power, adding that more than 3 billion dollars have been invested in the project.
 Aminnejad added, more than one thousand kilometers of transmission pipelines have been constructed for the project and it is currently the third top project of its kind in the world, saying that the refinery is capable of producing 2 billion cubic feet of gas per day.
5th Shipment of Bidboland Gas Refinery Exported
On the eve of the official opening of Bidboland Persian Gulf Refinery, the Aminnejad announced the export of the fifth consignment of the products of the complex.
Aminnejad said over 300,000 tons of C2+ have so far been produced in the refinery, adding: "According to previous plans, this complex receives about 18,000 tons of feedstock from NGL900 Plant.”
He pointed out that due to sustainable production, about 11,000 tons of methane for domestic consumption is produced to be consumed domestically and injected into the country’s gas network, adding: "1400 tons of ethane, 2,000 tons of lead and 1300 tons of pentane is produced in the complex on a daily basis.”
The CEO of Bidboland Persian Gulf Gas Refinery stated: "Fortunately, the fifth export shipment of this company has been exported and the export process will continue with the production record of this product being broken.”
He also expressed optimism that the refinery’s output would enhance dramatically once it is connected to the 6th Iran Gas Trunkline (IGAT-6).
