At Webinar on Support for Palestinian Cause:

Iran Speaker Warns of Plot to Fragment Muslims

TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- Iran’s parliament speaker said Monday the U.S. and the occupying regime of Israel are implanting a scenario whose main aim is to balkanize Muslim countries.
They also try to drive out Palestinians from their homes, Judaize Jerusalem al-Quds and destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque, Muhammad-Baqer Qalibaf told the opening of an international webinar here on supporting the Palestinian cause.
The forum was attended by parliament speakers and senior lawmakers from a number of Muslim countries.
"Today, we have come together in this virtual meeting in order to honor the resistance of the Palestinian people and the axis of resistance; and to reiterate that no other issue is as important for the Muslim world in the 21st century as the liberation of the Holy Quds and the Palestinian cause,” he said
"As you know, the occupation of Palestine and the displacement of Palestinians who lived there constitute the worst tragedy that the deviant current of Zionism created at the heart of the Muslim world in the aftermath of the Second World War,” Qalibaf said.
He said the enemies of the Islamic world are trying to break the unity of Muslim countries through sanctions and other arbitrary actions or threatening them.
The speaker also denounced the silence and indifference of some Muslim rulers and international bodies such as the United Nations and human rights organizations toward the ongoing Israeli crimes.
"Today, not only do we see no support and assistance for the oppressed people of Palestine, but a few leaders are also trampling the rights of the Palestinian people by establishing political, economic, trade and even military, security and investment relations and contributing to the Zionist settlement projects,” Qalibaf said.
"If the Muslim world does not discern this dangerous conspiracy and fails to adopt prompt measures to foil it, allowing normalization of ties to be institutionalized, the Zionists will move on to break up the Muslim world,” he added.
Qalibaf said U.S. President Donald Trump’s so-called deal of the century on the decades-old Middle East has definitely failed. He said despite the odds, Muslim nations will not allow the Zionists to dominate the region.
