U.S. Transports 70 Daesh Terrorists From Syria to Jordan Border: Report

DAMASCUS (Press TV) – U.S. troops have transported 70 imprisoned members of the Daesh terrorist group from the northeastern Syrian province of Hasakah to their bases on the Jordan border, a report says.
Syria’s official news agency SANA reported on Monday that the prison in Hasakah is controlled by the U.S.-backed so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the bases are in the al-Tanf border area.
The terrorists were shifted from the southern entrance of Hasakah to the bases in al-Tanf, the report added.
The report comes days after local sources said the U.S. military transferred Daesh prisoners to the Iraqi-Syrian border in order to provide a pretext for its continued presence in the region and for future attacks on the Syrian army.
American forces used choppers to relocate the Daesh inmates from prisons in Hasakah province in northeast Syria to the Iraqi border, Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen TV quoted on-the-ground sources as saying.
According to the report, U.S. helicopters transfer Daesh prisoners from Ghuwayran and al-Sena’aa prisons to American bases near the border several times a day.
Over 100 prisoners earlier transferred to the Iraqi border have been released after being armed by the U.S. military for attack on the positions of the Syrian army and their allies in the Syrian and Iraqi deserts, the sources said.
In April 2020, U.S. troops transported a number of Daesh terrorists from Hasakah to Iraq.
Speculations are that Washington has, either directly or indirectly, supported the terrorist group through its regional allies in the past few years.
Numerous accounts have emerged alleging airlifts, weapon air-drops and aerial support for the terrorist outfit, particularly as its strength diminished in Syria and Iraq.
Thousands of Daesh terrorists escaped from Syrian jails, as Kurdish prison guards were focused on fighting back the Turkish military that had been engaged in an operation against Kurds in northeastern Syria.
