Jordan Condemns Zionist Excavations Near Al-Aqsa

AMMAN (Dispatches) – Jordan has condemned the recent excavations by the Zionist regime near the Buraq Wall as its latest violation against Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of al-Quds. The wall is part of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, said Daifallah Fayez, spokesman of Jordan’s Foreign Ministry, adding Jordan rejects all unilateral actions by the occupying regime in occupied East al-Quds, the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque. These provocations are in violation of international law, he noted. The managing and maintenance work at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, including its walls and gates, is supervised by the Jordan-run al-Quds Islamic Awqaf under international law as well as the legal and historical status quo, according to Fayez.
