Surge in Saudi Genocide of Shi’a Muslims

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

Human rights have a double face in our modern world, especially for the UN and the big powers that manipulate it.
As a matter of fact, the term "human rights violation” is a handy tool for the western regimes to pressure independent countries refusing to follow the dictates of the Americans and the Europeans, who conveniently turn a blind eye to the atrocities, torture, imprisonment, bloodcurdling murder, religious persecution, stripping of nationality, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and genocide carried out by client regimes.
If the illegal Zionist entity tops the list of perpetrators of such crimes against humanity but is never taken to task, another glaring example of these double standards is the fiefdom created by Britain in 1932 for the desert brigand Abdul-Aziz and named Saudi Arabia after his cultish Wahhabi clan – following his occupation of the Land of Divine Revelation, Hijaz, and the death and desecration he unleashed on the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, including the very precincts of the sacred Ka’ba and the blessed shrine of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
The Saudis have never looked back ever since they blasphemously destroyed the sacred Islamic cemeteries of Jannat al-Baqi in Medina and Jannat al-Mo’alla in Mecca in 1926, and with gay abandon have indulged in more sanguine crimes against Muslims and the sanctity of Islamic sites.
Till this day the rootless and unrepresentative regime in Riyadh freely indulges in some of the worst crimes against humanity the world has ever seen, ranging from deprivation of the birthrights of the people of Arabia and funding of takfiri terrorist outfits to destabilize Muslim countries (from Afghanistan to Africa), to the cold-blooded sawing while alive of journalist Jamal Khashogchi in its consulate in Istanbul (Turkey) and the unabated war crimes against the people of Yemen.
They are never or rarely condemned in order to embolden them from committing more crimes against fellow Muslims, other than backstabbing the Palestinians and collaborating with their Zionist cousins against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the wake of the recent cowardly assassination of prominent Iranian scientist Dr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh on the Tehran-Damavand highway, following the covert meeting in Neom between the notorious MBS (Saudi Heir Apparent Mohamed bin Salman) and child-killer Benjamin Netanyahu under auspices of US gangster Mike Pompeo, the regime in Riyadh last Monday intensified its persecution of the Shi’a Muslims of the eastern oil-rich parts of Arabia.
The Saudis stormed the city of al-Ahsa, broke into the house of leading religious leader, Seyyed Hashim Muhammad ash-Shakhs, terrorized the children and womenfolk, destroyed household items, and after razing to the ground the nearby mosque, forcibly took away at gunpoint the venerable scholar to an unknown place.
According to local sources, the Imam al-Husain Mosque in the az-Zarah locality was demolished without any prior notice.
Since February 2011 – if not decades before that – the Eastern Shi’a majority oil-rich region is the scene of peaceful public protests, which have intensified following the unmanly beheading of prominent religious leader, Sheikh Nimr Baqer an-Nimr in January 2016.
Millions of persecuted people, totally ignored by the UN and the West, are demanding reforms, freedom of expression, the release of political prisoners, and an end to economic and religious discrimination against them by the Saudi occupiers, who in 2017 surrounded, shelled, and evicted 20,000 residents from their homes, before demolishing the 400-year old marketplace.
Allamah Seyyed Hashem ash-Shakhs is one of the prominent scholars of Hejaz who has a high scientific and social status among the Shi’a Muslims of "Ash-Sharqiyyah Region” (Eastern Region).
Unfortunately, the World Body and human rights organizations have turned a blind to such crimes against humanity by the Saudis, who violate international norms.
Like the Zionist regime which is holding Palestinian boys and girls in prisons, the Saudis hold hundreds of underage Shi’a Muslim youngsters as prisoners, with some of them on death row, such as Mohammad al-Faraj who was 15 years old when arrested and 16-year old Ali an-Nimr (nephew of the famous Sheikh Nimr).
In view of these undeniable facts, it is time for world Muslims to open up their eyes, stop being deceived by the oil wealth of the heretical Wahhabi regime, and mobilize efforts to support the oppressed people of Arabia for end of the spurious state called Saudi Arabia.
