Hypocrisy of Human Rights

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

The illegal Zionist entity has killed a total of 3,097 Palestinian children over the past twenty years, while tens of thousands of other Palestinian children have sustained various degrees of injuries over the said period.
In December 2017, when the roguish US president, Donald Trump, illegally declared the occupied Islamic city of Bait al-Moqaddas (Jerusalem to the West) as capital of the usurper state of Israel, the Zionist regime rounded up and detained tens of thousands of innocent Palestinian people, including 17,000 children, of whom more than 7,000 are currently languishing in some 17 jails, with scores of them serving multiple life sentences.
Did the United Nations pass any resolution against such gross violation of human rights, or at least verbally denounce Israel?
No, the World Body will never take any such an ‘anti-Semitic’ step that might antagonize the godfather of all criminal and terroristic regimes, the US, whose policy of economic terrorism against Iran and the Iranian people is totally ignored by the UN.
The US and like-minded racist regimes, which have a bleak, black and bloody record of depriving the black and colored people of basic human rights, and for whom Islamophobia and Iranophobia are articles of faith, consider it an honour to worship at the altar of Zionism.
This explains why Washington and the West have given the non-Semitic Khazar Zionists who are in occupation of Palestine since 1948 on the basis of the myth of the holocaust that never occurred in Europe, the liberty and license for the genocidal killing of the real Semites, that is, the Palestinians, both Muslims and Christians, the majority of whom trace their ethnic roots to the ancient Israelites.
So, now we understand the logic behind the recent approval of an anti-Iran resolution last week by the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly.
Interestingly, 114 out of 193 UN member states either voted "no” or abstained from voting to show their discontent with the hypocritical approach adopted by the supporters of the resolution that was drafted by Canada, which refuses to provide consular services to 400,000 Iranians in the country and has become a safe haven for the world’s economic offenders and financial criminals.
Several Iranian criminals wanted for economic corruption in Iran have fled to Canada which refuses to extradite them, including Mahmoud Reza Khavari, the former CEO of Bank Melli Iran, who was the central figure in a $2.6bn embezzlement case, the largest in Iran’s history.
It was thus not surprising that Israel, the US, Britain, France and Albania –countries that have given refuge to terrorist groups which have killed thousands of Iranians, or have been fully backing the US’ unjust and illegal sanctions against the Iranian nation – were among the backers of this unfair resolution.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, which are accomplices in the ongoing slaughter of the people of Yemen, in addition to their recent treason against the Ummah in establishing ties with the Zionist regime, backed the anti-Iran resolution.
The reason the Islamic Republic was accused of violation of human rights is obvious. It is because of Tehran’s refusal to follow the dictates of Washington by standing firmly beside the oppressed Palestinian people, as well as the people of the countries that terrorist outfits and unrepresentative regimes suppress, torture, and slaughter in the most brutal manner.
Yes, Iran and the Iranian people are proud of their independence and their decision to constantly upgrade their defensive capabilities as a deterrent against any would-be aggressor, in addition to their positive influence in the region and beyond for guaranteeing peace and stability by thwarting the devilish designs of the Americans and the Zionists.
