It is a pity that the witless politicians of the US have still not learned from their blunders of the past forty-two years vis-a-vis the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Internationally known as the "Dotard” for his idiotic policies of the past four years, the outgoing president Donald Trump, along with his gang of goons, such as his deputy Mike Pence and the gangster Mike Pompeo who poses as the Secretary of State, having realized the failure of their economic terrorism against Iran, came across a weird idea of intimidation.
A couple of days ago, the sour grapes’ team released to the media a false report of dissuading Trump from ordering an air strike on Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations.
The intention is clear. It was nothing but a last minute resort to try to flex the aching over-inflated muscles of the US military in the vain hope of scaring Iran into submission before the curtain falls on the current Republican administration.
The US, especially its military brass, knows very well that one wrong move and the gates of hell will be flung open up for the CENTCOM terrorists everywhere in the region.
As was evident in June 2019 when the ever vigilant guardians of Iran’s airspace shot down the sophisticated radar-evading American drone RQ-4A Global Hawk BAMS-D the moment it entered Iranian territory, our missile batteries that reduced the Ain al-Assad US base to almost a rubble last January as a warning for the vengeance to come for the innocent blood of Martyr Qassem Soleimani, will blast in midair any American provocation.
It is worth noting that last year also Trump had glibly lied by boasting that he called off a strike on Iran with minutes to go, and he is again uttering preposterous lies to try to boost the sagging morale of his overstretched military, when he says he was dissuaded these days from targeting Iranian nuclear sites.
Nothing could be far from the truth, as is evident by Iran’s ever-expanding defence capabilities and its regional influence which has considerably grown since Trump took office in January 2017 with a wishful remark of rolling back Iran’s influence and bring the country to its knees – and if possible change the government in Tehran.
Iran is neither a "Banana Republic” nor a "Bantustan” like the rootless Arab regimes of our region that serve as "milk cow” for the US and have recently entered into an unholy alliance with the illegal Zionist entity, Israel, in the vain hope of averting the inevitable.
It is faith in God Almighty and adherence to the dynamic teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and the Infallible Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt that have transformed the Iranian nation into a formidable force that no satanic power can intimidate.     
We are on full alert with our means of deterrence fully focused on any type of US military provocation from anywhere in the region and beyond.     
The US, whose armies are bogged down in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syrian, knows for sure that it can start a war against Iran but cannot end it, in view of the iron resolve of the Iranian people and their ability to withstand any protracted conflict.
In September 1980 the US had launched a full scale war on the newly founded Islamic Republic through Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad in the hope of quickly occupying oil-rich Khuzestan and triggering the fall of the leadership in Tehran, but it miserably failed as the war dragged on for 8 long years and remolded Iran into a power to reckon with.
Today, there is no Saddam, and as Trump makes his humiliating exit from the White House after crying "foul play”, tomorrow there won’t be any Israel on Palestinian soil.
If the Americans or their Arab clients are in doubt, just wait and see what will eventually happen in this part of the world by the Grace of God Almighty.
