Applauded ‘Echo’ Walks Away With More Awards

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian filmmaker Barzan Rostami has received one more award for his acclaimed short film ‘Echo’ at the 2020 annual Festival of the Moving Image in the U.S.
‘Echo’, which recently won the Special Jury Prize of the 18th biannual Włodzimierz Puchalski International Nature Film Festival in Poland, participated in the 5th edition of the American event held on October 16 – November 14.
Themed on the wildlife and environmental abuse by human beings, ‘Echo’ is also the winner of the Best Sound Designing award at the 7th Pink City Int’l Short Film Festival (PCISFF) in India.
In early December, ‘Echo’ will represent Iran at the 18th Krakow Mountain Festival in Poland.
During the last two months, Rostami’s 7-minute short film went on screen the 11th OC Film Fiesta (Orange County’s Premier Multicultural Film Festival) in the U.S., the 21st Ojai Film Festival in the U.S, the 18th Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest in Italy, the 9th ESNE IX International Short Film Festival in Spain and  the 17th international festival of Piriapolis de Pelicula in Uruguay.
Late in May 2020, ‘Echo’ went on screen at the 4th Southern Cone International Film Festival (FICCSUR) in Mexico, and succeeded to grab the Best Animation Short Film award of the event.
The Festival of the Moving Image is a public showcase of short films and videos from around the world.
