Does Biden’s Win Make any Difference for Iran?

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

As we go to the press, news from the other side of the world indicates that Joseph R. Biden has won the presidential elections in the US, and if all goes well, he will formally takeover the executive powers in the White House in the second week of January.
Not that we in Iran attach any importance to the fraudulent show that is held every four years in the US, or whether a Democrat as head of state will make a big difference for the Islamic Republic which for the past forty-two years continues to be the target of American state terrorism that was initiated in 1979 by the Democrat, President Jimmy Carter.
Of course, we join the majority of American citizens who succeeded in kicking out the scoundrel Donald Trump, the cause of most of the mischief in the US, including open support for racism, and the brutal treatment of refugees, especially the inhuman tearing away of children from the arms of their parents.
The roguish Trump, who will linger in the White House till the middle of January and will use every devilish trick to place hurdles in the way of Biden, will for the time being continue to commit crimes at home and abroad.
Eventually, he will have to pay for his crimes, and along with the terrorist comrades of his cabinet, should get the deserving punishment.
Here, we would like to state that the Islamic Republic of Iran doesn’t see any benefits in Biden’s win, even if he were to rejoin the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action) on Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy from which Trump made an unmanly unilateral exit in 2018.
If the new president thinks that Iran will renegotiate that accord then he is grossly mistaken.
There is nothing more to talk about JCPOA or its clauses, except for removing from it the clause that warrants the US president to rectify it every three months.
It should be immediately scrapped, and Iran should be compensated in hundreds of billions of dollars for Trump’s exploiting of this questionable clause and his imposing of illegal sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
Moreover, since Trump no longer enjoys presidential immunity, he should now be put in the criminal’s dock for his policy of state terrorism against the American people and the people of the Free World.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, along with Iraq, has the right to seek vengeance for the innocent blood of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who were the principal victims of the policy of state terrorism of Trump and his gang of goons.
A piece of parting advice for Biden, if he really wants to improve the image of the US or sincerely seeks relations with Iran:
Defreeze unconditionally the hundreds of billions of dollars of Iranian money held up in US banks since 1979, withdraw CENTCOM terrorists from the entire region, apologize to the Iranian nation for the US crimes starting from the 1953 coup till the present day, stop arms sales to the reactionary Arab states, and last but not the least pledge non-interference in the struggle of the Palestinian people to reclaim their homeland from the Zionist entity.
