IRGC Commander:

U.S. Incapacitated, Withdrawing From Region

TEHRAN (Dispatches) - Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hussein Salami said on Tuesday that the U.S. has now been isolated in the world and is withdrawing from the region.
Addressing Iranian lawmakers in an open parliamentary session in Tehran, General Salami said, "Today the U.S., which has been exerting pressures to isolate Iran, has itself been isolated. The U.S. has gradually lost its political influence in the region and the world and has been marginalized in the political developments and failed to score any victory in the battlefield”.
"We have prepared the capacities for military victory over the enemy, and have sometimes imposed our tactical resolve on them,” the commander said.
General Salami added the United States, having lost its political influence in the world arena, is trying to escape global isolation by brokering reconciliation between Israel and rulers of tiny Arab regimes.
"Today, the United States, which is pressing to isolate Iran, has been rendered isolated itself. It  gradually lost its political influence in the region and the world, was pushed to the sidelines of political developments and failed to secure any victory on the battlefield,” Salami said.
He also noted that the normalization agreements that the regimes in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain signed in mid-September with Israel were nothing more than an endeavor by Washington to pretend that it still has political power.
"America cannot deal with the coronavirus pandemic and 30 million hungry people in the U.S. are being fed by charities today, and this is the real face of the world’s greatest power, which is reconciling the rulers of tiny regimes with the Zionist regime to save itself from isolation, portray itself as a political power, and show that it still exists,” Salami said.
He referred to the U.S. role in the formation of terrorist group of Daesh, and said Iran defused Washington’s plots in this grand battlefield and prevented materialization of its political wishes to restructure the Middle-East politically.
"The U.S. is now withdrawing while it is tired, worn-out and debilitated,” General Salami said.
Pointing to the enemy’s economic and psychological war against Iranian people, the IRGC commander said the U.S. is neither able nor willing to settle the problems in Iran.
"Even if we make up with the U.S., it will harm us again,” he stated, describing the notion of compromise with Washington as a "political deception”.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has announced repeatedly that Iran will not hold talks with the U.S., either bilaterally or multilaterally.
"If the U.S. backs off from its call, repents, and returns to the nuclear treaty it has breached, then it will be able to join the gathering of the parties to the deal (JCPOA) who hold meetings and talk with Iran, otherwise no negotiations will take place between the officials of the Islamic Republic and the Americans at any level, not in New York and not anywhere else,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in September 2019.

69th Fleet of Warships Protecting Iran’s Interests in Int’l Waters

On Tuesday, deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy for Operations Admiral Qana’atpisheh said that Iran has sent its 69th fleet of warships to the free waters to safeguard the country’s interests.
"The 69th fleet of the Islamic Republic

of Iran’s strategic Navy is protecting the country’s interests in the far seas,” Admiral Qana’atpisheh said.
He added that the Navy personnel have always stood beside the security forces to thwart the terrorists’ attacks against the Iranian ships.
Admiral Qana’atpisheh said that the IRGC and Army naval forces are cooperating with each other to establish stability in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the free waters.
The Iranian Navy has been conducting anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf of Aden since November 2008, when Somali raiders hijacked the Iranian-chartered cargo ship, MV Delight, off the coast of Yemen.
According to UN Security Council resolutions, different countries can send their warships to the Gulf of Aden and coastal waters of Somalia against the pirates and even with prior notice to Somali government enter the territorial waters of that country in pursuit of Somali sea pirates.
