IRGC Chief General Salami:

Iran Capable of Capturing All U.S. Bases in Region

TEHRAN (Dispatches) – Chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hussein Salami has said Iran is capable of capturing all American bases in the region in the worst-case scenario.
Speaking to national television late Saturday, General Salami assured that the Iranian military is strong enough to confront the U.S.
"We have thousands of military brigades on the ground that could wreck all U.S. interests with a single move,” he said. "We are capable of capturing and storming all U.S. bases at the same time,” he said.
General Salami touched on U.S. threats, saying the Iranian nation shouldn’t worry about President Donald Trump’s bluffs about waging a war against Iran.
"We won’t initiate a war, but we have developed the capability to chase and destroy the enemy both under the ground and in the skies.”
Trump last week referred to a strange report of an alleged Iranian plan to assassinate an American ambassador in a U.S. publication to threaten that "any attack by Iran, in any form, against the United States will be met with an attack on Iran that will be 1,000 times greater in magnitude!”.
General Salami called Trump’s bluff on Saturday, stating that when Iran pummeled a U.S. military base in Iraq with a volley of precision-guided missiles, the American leader did not dare to respond.
"While you are severely plagued by your own internal problems, you are threatening us with a thousand-fold attack, but when we struck Ayn al-Asad, our assumption and prediction was not that you would not answer, but we were absolutely assuming that you would respond, and that we had hundreds of missiles ready to fire, and if you answered, we would destroy the intended targets,” Salami said.

"It is the same today, and if a hair sheds from an Iranian, we will blow away all your fleece and wool,” the top general said, using a Persian catchphrase.
Later Saturday, he said the U.S. political system should pay the price for Washington’s assassination of top Iranian commander General Qassem Soleimani because Iran will definitely avenge the terrorist act.
The U.S. assassinated Gen. Soleimani and Iraq’s top anti-terror commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis outside Baghdad airport on Jan. 3.
"Mr. Trump! Our revenge for martyrdom of our great general is obvious, serious and real,” General Salami said earlier Saturday.
