Iran to Play Uzbekistan in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team will meet Uzbekistan in a friendly match in Tashkent.
The match is scheduled for September 7, said Mehdi Kharati, head of the national teams committee.
Iran will also play Syria in a warm-up match on September 3 in Tehran.
Team Melli is third in Group C of the Asia zone at the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification, five points behind Iraq.
Dragan Skocic’s team is scheduled to host Hong Kong on October 8 in Tehran and meet Cambodia five days later in Phnom Penh.
Iran’s last two matches against Bahrain and Iraq will be against Bahrain and Iraq on November 12 and 17 in Tehran.
