"He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people. He is at this time transporting large armies of foreign mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages.”
Although the above passage was written over two centuries ago, it could be an apt description of Donald Trump and his roguish regime in view of the US crimes against humanity both at home and abroad, as is evident by the unabated brutalities of the past forty days against peaceful protestors demanding social justice and racial equality; the deliberate spread of the Coronavirus pandemic; the breaching of international pacts; the economic terrorism against Iran; the suicidal brinkmanship with China; the support for the Zionist genocide of Palestinians; the occupation of Afghanistan; the illegal military presence in Syria and Iraq; and the supply of lethal weapons to Saudi Arabia to destroy Yemen and kill its people.
The passage refers to Britain’s King George III and was a prelude to the Declaration of Independence in 1776 by the 13 New England colonies and their banding together as the United States of America (USA) – a country that was to evolve into history’s most criminal and terroristic power.
Yes, it means, if July 4 is marked by some Americans as Day of Declaration of Independence from the British, July 3 ought to be remembered as the Day of Eternal Shame for the US Administration, since each year it revives memories of Washington’s blatant act of state terrorism in shooting down Iran Air Flight 655 with some 300 passengers and crew on board, including 57 children.
As a matter of fact, July 3rd remains a permanent blot on the dark blood-stained human rights violation record of history’s most evil state. It was certainly a sadistic way of celebrating the July 4 Declaration of American Independence. It exposed to the world the ugly visage of a regime, which the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), had earlier aptly branded the ‘Great Satan’.
To add insult to injury, Will Rogers, the murderous commander of the US warship Vincennes, was decorated for his dastardly deed by President Ronald Reagan – who died in 2004 after divine wrath struck him in the form of Alzheimer’s disease to deprive him of his memory for 12 long years.
Without the least doubt Reagan is getting his due retribution in the blazing depths of the inferno for this and other US crimes against humanity (during his two terms as president) including the 8-year devastating war imposed on Iran through Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad.
But the question being asked by conscientious minds around the world is that how long will the UN and other international bodies continue to ignore Roger’s firing of two heat-seeking missiles at the Iranian Airbus that at 10:22 AM on the fateful 3rd of July 1988 was still ascending its designated commercial air corridor, shortly after takeoff from Bandar Abbas for Dubai on its three days a week Persian Gulf shuttle?
When will Uncle Sam, whose detested effigy goes up in flames with frequency almost all over the world, be formally grilled and handed the deserving punishment for its well documented crimes against mankind?
Iran and the Iranian people continue to be the victims of the terrorist policies of the evil US administrations. On January 3 this year, the present occupant of the White House had in an unmanly manner ordered the assassination in Baghdad of General Qassem Soleimani who was on an official visit to Iraq.
Trump the racist who seems to have a vampire-like lust for the blood of Muslims as well as that of the Afro-Americans, could be presiding over the eventual break up and collapse of the United States.
The sooner this happens the better for the world, whether the ones called US citizens or the rest of humanity in view of the fact that for the past two centuries the original 13 colonies that banded together this day as the USA have grown into 50 tyrannical states through wars, bloodshed, genocide of the native Amerindians, enslavement of the Africans, and seizures of the territories of neighbouring countries, particularly much maligned Mexico on whose current borders Trump is building an apartheid wall to choke and throttle the spirit of freedom.
Insha Allah, the curtain will certainly fall on the USA, as it happened with the British Empire, the Soviet Union of our times and with ancient Rome, but the blood of the Airbus Martyrs will remain fresh forever to inspire Iranians to resolutely defend their faith, dignity, and homeland, against all aggressors.
