Is the USA in Its Death Throes?

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

It is often said the decline of the United States of America had started in its embryonic stage on the day when the thirteen New England colonies banded together as a new country.
This could be gauged from the book "History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” by British historian Edward Gibbon published in London in 1776, the year these rebellious colonies declared independence.
Many scholars believe that this book was penned by him to show to the Founding Fathers of the USA that one day their doom will come, and as the Roman Empire is no more, their entity would be done forever.
Oppression, suppression, repression, massacre, ignoring the basic human values and many more acts of tyranny and temptations have been the tradition of this devilish nation whose one means of formation was to safe guard the interests of the illegal British settlers in the so-called New World.
The recent murder of George Floyd is a small example of US brutality. If we look deep in the American history, millions of innocents have been massacred and millions more are left homeless.
The ongoing protests on the streets of the US in over forty cities against the official policy of racism, coupled with the burning of the national flag, could be called the fundamental right of the oppressed American people. It is a very simple equation.
Over two centuries ago, the Declaration of Independence clearly said: "We not only have the right but we also have the duty to alter or abolish any government that does not secure our unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
According to the English philosopher and one of the most influential thinkers of the Enlightenment era, John Locke, who is also considered the Father of Liberalism: "There is no difference between an unjust government and a thief. Just like we are right to fight off a thief, we are right to fight off an oppressive government.”
What Locke and the US Declaration of Independence say are the "unalienable rights” to fight off and get rid of a tyrant or an oppressive system which undermines the rights endowed by the Creator.
What can we say about a country that can suit up every police officer as a soldier, but can’t suit up every doctor as a medic?
Foreign Ministry Spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Abbas Mousavi in support of the oppressed people of the US said, "The world has heard your outcry over state oppression. The world is standing with you. The American regime is pursuing violence and bullying at home and abroad. We are greatly regretful to see, along with people across the world, the violence that the US police have recently unfolded. Stop violence against your people and let them breathe.”
As a matter of fact, the virus in the White House is beyond remedy. It is more dangerous than the Coronavirus pandemic. It should be eradicated by the American citizens themselves.
If Donald Trump and his likes exist, not on the USA but the whole world will be a dangerous place.
At any rate, the Roman Empire may have taken over half a million to fold up, but the American Empire which has been in death throes for the past half a century, is about to die a painful death.
