Iran’s 2-Month Foreign Trade Exceeds $9bn: IRICA

TEHRA (Dispatches) – Spokesperson for Iran’s Customs Office Ruhollah Latifi said on Sunday that the volume and value of exports in the second month of the current Iranian year have risen by 71 and 60 percent respectively compared to a month earlier.
Latifi said Iran has exported 9.176 million tons of goods worth $2.648 billion in the month of Ordibehesht (April 20 – May 20).
The volume and the value of exports in that month have increased by 71 and 60 percent in comparison to the first month of the Iranian calendar, he noted.
IRICA put the total volume of goods exchanged in this period at 21 million tons, 14.5 million and about 6.5 million tons of which related to exports and imports respectively.
In this period, Islamic Republic of Iran exported its non-oil products to People’s Republic of China, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and Turkey.
Islamic Republic of Iran exported $1.190 billion worth of non-oil products to China, accounted for more than 27 percent share of Iran’s total non-oil products, IRICA added.
