Iranian Company Builds Atomic Microscope

TEHRAN (Dispatches) – An Iranian company has manufactured atomic force microscope and nanoscope, advanced devices developed only by a handful of countries.
CEO of the startup company Abbas Shahmoradi said the atomic force multimode microscope manufactured inside Iran is broadly used for nanoscopy.
The atomic force microscope (AFM) is employed to study the surface characterization of conducting and non-conducting materials on a scale of nanometers, he said.
He said an electron microscope designed and manufactured by the Iranian company weighs 2.5 tons and is 3 meters in height, adding that only the U.S. and Japan have the technical know-how to produce the device.
Manufacturing the advanced device inside Iran has obviated the need for imports and provided direct employment for 30 people, he added.
In October 2019, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei assured Iranian companies and enterprises that he would do his best to remove obstacles in their way for scientific progress.
