Jury Picks ‘Cleaner’ at Norway’s Ringerike Festival

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Cleaner’ has claimed an award at the Ringerike International Youth Film Festival in Norway.
Directed by Mohammadreza Mayghani, the 13-minute short film received a Jury Mention at the 7th edition of the Ringerike festival.
‘Cleaner’ is about a young maid who cleans bathrooms at a shopping mall. She seems to be impatient and worried to get the results of a test.
The screenplay for the flick has been developed by the director, and Baran Sarmadi has been in charge of the film’s production.
Iranian ‘Cleaner’ has taken part at some global events, including the 2019 Richard Harris International Film Festival in Ireland and the 2019 St Cloud Film Festival in the U.S, 16th Kinofilm & Manchester International Film Festival, and the 15th Beloit International Film Festival in the U.S.
Ringerike International Youth Film Festival showcases films made by young filmmakers 14-26 years of age from the entire world. The festival is an important platform for new talent and cinematic creativity, and accepts a broad selection of work made by young filmmakers in the categories: short fiction, documentaries, animation and music video.
