TEHRAN (Dispatches) – Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif and the UN chief Antonio Guterres discussed the latest situation in Afghanistan over phone.
Last month, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Tadamichi Yamamoto praised Iran for its contribution to the settlement of the Afghan problems. Zarif has voiced Iran’s support for the process of peace under the aegis and guidance of the Afghan government until reaching an intra-Afghan agreement with the participation of all Afghan groups, including the Taliban.
