Official: Pakistan Committed to Boosting Energy Cooperation With Iran

TEHRAN (Dispatchers) - Pakistan’s Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Affairs Nadeem Babar in a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammad Ali Hosseini has said that his country is committed to broaden cooperation with Iran in the energy sector.
"I assure Iranians of my support for the expansion of bilateral ties, specially in the energy sector,” Babar.
The Pakistani prime minister’s assistant also enumerated the important aspects of Pakistan’s energy sector.
Babar, meantime, welcomed the Iranian ambassador on assuming his duties as the new envoy to Pakistan.
The Pakistani prime minister’s adviser also discussed potential areas of cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The Iranian ambassador, for his part, thanked the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum for the welcome he accorded to him and wished for the expansion of relations between the two countries.
Hosseini termed Pakistan as Iran’s important neighbor and termed relations between the two countries as "special, close and brotherly”.
