The Message of Hazrat Fatema Zahra (SA)

Salaam dear young friends. Hope you are fine by the Grace of God. As you all know the south eastern region in Iran has been hit by major waves of rain over the course of two weeks which led to flooding in at least 1,017 villages had been damaged in 15 counties across the Sistan-Baluchestan.
Indeed, the chain of natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods that have plagued the Iranian Plateau is a part of divine trials and tribulations for us and we remain indebted to the peerless personalities of Almighty’s last Messenger to mankind and his blessed household who practically showed to mankind how to lead a meritorious life of self-contentment.
Well, we are on the threshold of the anniversary of a tragic event, which we would be commemorating on Wednesday next week, the 3rd of Jamadi ath-Thani. This means that next week we are not going to meet you.
Yes, you know its significance. It is that sad day in history, when the little grandchildren of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), after having lost their loving grandfather 95 days ago, were deprived forever of the kindness of their noble mother.
What a great calamity was the departure from the world of Hazrat Fatema Zahra (SA)! The Pride of the Virgin Mary (SA), passed away, or more properly, achieved martyrdom in a pathetic state, with broken ribs and miscarriage of the stillborn Mohsin, as a result of the burning door which was battered upon her by a roguish group of her father’s companions, who had seized the caliphate from her husband Imam Ali (AS) and now wanted him to pledge allegiance to their illegal rule.
As the only surviving child of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger, she defended the genuine principles of Islam and in her famous sermon cautioned the usurpers of the harm they were doing to Muslims and all humanity by depriving the Ahl al-Bayt of their God-given right to lead.
She said: "God has commanded obedience to us (Ahl al-Bayt) in order to preserve the disciplined system of the Ummah; and God has decreed our Imamate for prevention of deviations and differences.”
Alas, the power-hungry clique of Medina did not listen to her, despite the fact that the Prophet had said in explicit terms: "Fatema is a part of me; whoever displeases her has displeased me, and whoever displeases me has indeed displeased God.”
For this reason, Fatema (SA) who used to recite the elegy: "So many calamities had fallen on me that if they were to fall on days they would turn into nights,” willed that she buried in the dead of night in an unmarked grave, and none of those who had displeased her, should attend her funeral.
Thus, young friends, there are lessons to be learnt by studying the exemplary life of the Noblest-Ever Lady.
Goodbye and God bless you until we meet again two weeks later.
