TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will take part at the Men’s Junior Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Cup 2019.
The competition will be held in Muscat, Oman from December 5 to 14.
Iran has been drawn in Pool A along with China, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
The Persians will start the campaign with a match against Thailand on Thursday.
Pool B consists of Oman, Singapore, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong.
The competition will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, which is the most important stadium in the city of Muscat.
The top four teams from this tournament will qualify for the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2020 and join the teams of Bangladesh, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Pakistan who have already qualified.
The Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2020 is a qualifier round for the Hockey Junior World Cup 2021.
