Best Short Film Goes to ‘Dolls Breathe’ in Ukraine

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘The Dolls Breathe’ has garnered the Best Short Film for Children award at Dytiatko International Children’s Media Festival in Ukraine.
Directed by Iman Soltani, the short narrates the story of a little girl named Arezou. Arezou’s father gives her a doll that has one leg.
Neighborhood children mock Arezou’s doll. A young girl in their neighborhood breaks her leg and she uses a stick to go around. Arezou’s father makes a leg and a stick out of wood for the doll.
Founded in 2009, Dytiatko festival aims to bring together TV and radio journalists and producers, cameramen and writers, animators and cartoonists from different countries.
It aims to support talented children and provide programs for children audience.
The 11th edition of the Ukraine fest was held on September 4-7.
