BEIRUT (Dispatches) – Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Tuesday Iran, headed by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, is the center of a major camp against the U.S. and the occupying regime of Israel.
"Today, we are in the middle of a big battle and our camp is being besieged by the U.S. and Israel and their tools. The leader of this camp is Imam Ali Khamenei and the center of this camp is the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Nasrallah said in a televised speech on the occasion of Ashura.
"This is our camp, and this is our Imam, our leader, and Hussein of this era. In this battle there is no place for neutrality. You are either with Hussein or you are with Yazid. The battle is renewed and so is the confrontation,” he added.
Nasrallah was referring to the Battle of Karbala in southern Iraq in 680 AD, during which Imam Hussein (AS) was martyred along with his 72 after fighting courageously for justice against thousands of soldiers of the Umayyad caliph, Yazid I.
The battle symbolizes the eternal and unwavering stance of truth against falsehood and humanity’s struggle against injustice, tyranny and oppression.
On Monday night, the Hezbollah chief stressed that Israeli and American leaders will fail in their plots to undermine the resistance front through "blockades” and "sanctions”.
"Tonight and tomorrow, we will tell (Zionist PM Benjamin) Netanyahu and (U.S. President Donald) Trump that we are a people not affected by blockades, sanctions, poverty and hunger,” Nasrallah said.
"If our Husseini leader came out to tell us that ‘you are free to leave’, our response will be: By Allah, o master and leader, if we are to be killed, all of us… we shall never leave you o son of Hussein,” Nasrallah added, referring to Ayatollah Khamenei.
Ashura was marked this year amid rising tensions in the Middle East because of unprecedented provocations by the United States and the occupying regime of Israel.
The Zionist regime has recently expanded its aggression in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, drawing outrage and pledges of retaliation.
On Monday, drones targeted posts belonging to Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha’abi fighters and their allies on the border between the two Arab countries. The occupying regime of Israel took responsibility by the raid, the latest in such attacks across the region.
The U.S., on the other hand, has deployed additional troops, warships and bombers to the Middle East, in response to what it claims unspecified threats from Iran, escalating tensions in its "maximum pressure” on Tehran.
Addressing Israeli provocations, Nasrallah Nasrallah called the Zionist regime’s military a "Hollywood Army” in his Tuesday speech and challenged it to perform more Hollywood shows.
"You are a Hollywood army and we learned a lesson from the show you performed,” Nasrallah said. "In future responses, instead of hitting one vehicle, we will hit more, and instead of hitting one target, we will hit more... let's see how many Hollywood shows you can perform.”
He was referring to a recent Hebzollah retaliation in which the resistance movement fired Kornet anti-tank missiles at an Israeli armored vehicle inside Occupied Palestine.
The target was hit with its occupants in a blow to Israel after Hebzollah had discovered dummy soldiers planted inside armored vehicles in order to deceive the Lebanese resistance.
"Lebanon respects (UN Security Council Resolution) 1701 and Hezbollah is part of the government that respects this resolution, but if Israel attacks, there will be no redlines at all,” Nasrallah warned.
He also warned that Israel would cease to exist if there were to be any war on Iran.
"Any war on Iran will ignite the region and destroy countries and people," he said. "It will be a war against the entire axis of resistance. We will not be neutral in the battle between right and wrong. This war will be the end of Israel and the American hegemony and presence in the region."
Palestine, Nasrallah said, is was "the central cause” of the resistance. He stressed that while the resistance’s "eternal commitment to Palestine’s cause has costs us a lot, it is our commitment”.
