Syria Army Inflicts Losses on Terrorists in Idlib

DAMASCUS (Dispatches) – Syrian forces have launched fresh retaliatory attacks on terrorist positions in Idlib, destroying their rocket launchers and training camps.
Al-Nusra terrorists suffered losses after their hideouts in the town of Khan Sheykhoun were targeted by the Syrian military, SANA reported.
The army also targeted the training camps and bases belonging to the terrorists in Jisr al-Shughour southwest of Idlib city near the northeastern countryside of Lattakia.
The areas where the clashes broke out are located in a planned buffer zone that surrounds Idlib and also parts of the adjacent provinces of Aleppo and Hama.
Under a deal reached following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in September, all militants should have withdrawn from the demilitarization zone by October 15.
However, al-Qaeda-linked terrorists said they refuse to either leave the buffer zone or hand over their weapons.
The Syrian Army also dispatched massive military convoys to northern Hama to resume military and mop-up operations against the terrorist groups in the demilitarized zone, the Arabic-language media outlets reported.
The Arabic-language Morasseloun quoted battlefield sources as saying that the Syrian has sent massive military convoys comprising artillery canons, tanks and Syrian Army troops to its military points in northern Hama.
The sources noted that the Syrian Army is preparing for resuming military operations in Northern Syria’s demilitarized zone.
Meantime, the Syrian Army’s missile and artillery units pounded the movements and military positions of the terrorists in Kafar Zita, al-Latamineh, al-Zuka, Khan Sheikhoun and Jisr al-Shoghour in Northern, Northwestern Hama and Southwestern Idlib, destroying several military positions and centers of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and Turkistani Party terrorists as well as their military training base.
The terrorist groups destroyed a crucial bridge in Sahl al-Ghab region in northwestern Hama on Wednesday to prevent the Syrian Army troops from making further advances there, the Arabic-language media outlets reported.
The Arabic-language website of the Russian Sputnik News Agency quoted local sources in northern Hama as saying that the terrorist groups stationed in Sahl al-Ghab annihilated Jasr Beit al-Ra’as Bridge which is linked to the areas under the Syrian Army’s control.
