Iran Win Two Bronze Medals at 2019 Karate1 Series A
MONTREAL (Dispatches) - Iranian karatekas have claimed two bronze medals at the 2019 Karate1 Series A in the Canadian city of Montreal.
In the Men’s plus 84-kg category, Sajjad Ganjzadeh pocketed the bronze medal after defeating his Croatian opponent.
The Iranian athlete had defeated opponents from Peru, South Korea, and Ukraine, but lost to his Turkish opponent in the Semis.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s plus 68-kg category, Hamideh Abbasali grabbed the bronze after defeating her Jamaican opponent. This is Abbasali’s 4th successive medal win at different international tournaments.
