Turkey’s Denizli Set to Lead Iran’s Tractor Sazi

ANKARA (Dispatches) -Turkish football manager Mustafa Denizli has signed an agreement with Iranian football club Tractor Sazi which competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League, according to the Iranian state media.
Mustafa Denizli announced his resignation from the Turkish Spor Toto Super League team Kasimpasa in May. The 69-year-old manager previously worked for two Iranian teams Proozi FC and Pas Teheran.
Denizli replaced Belgian manager Georges Leekens in Tractor Sazi. The Persian team did not qualify for the 2020 AFC Champions League under Leeken's management.
Denizli began his coaching career in Iran with Pas in 2004 and left the team after two years. He also coached the Iranian outfit Persepolis in 2006 and 2010.
Denizli, who has led "Istanbul Big Three" Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas, replaced Georges Leekens in the Iranian football team.
Tractor Sazi failed to win a place at the 2020 AFC Champions League under guidance the Belgian coach.
Tractor Sazi also signed a contract with Turkish manager Ertugrul Saglam in 2018, but later parted ways with the team later that year.
