Official: $500,000 Combine Harvesters Exported

TEHRAN (Dispatches)- Head of Iran Combine Manufacturing Company Ali Asqar Hamidifar said on Wednesday that Iran has earned $500,000 by exporting combine harvesters to four countries of Iraq, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia.
Hamidifar said today that $500,000 worth of his company’s products have been exported to Iraq, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia.
He added that $390,000 was related to combine and the remaining was due to the export of other parts including bailers.
Despite some economic problems, the company has held talks with the neighboring countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, he noted.
Hamidifar went on to say that the company has put on the agenda manufacturing 450 combines and 400 bailers.
Back in August, Senior Iranian and Armenian officials in a meeting in Yerevan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to broaden mutual cooperation between the two countries in the agriculture sector.
The MoU was signed in a ceremony attended by the Iranian and Armenian deputy agriculture and economy ministers.
Iran and Armenian agreed to jointly manufacture agricultural machinery.  
Meantime, Iran’s cultural attaché in Armenia said that the Armenian Fund for Developing Business and an Iranian company have undertaken the responsibility of joint manufacturing.
According to Iran Trade Development Organization’s website, Mohsen Rahimi said that based on the agreement, Iranian company will export all types of agricultural machinery parts to Armenia and will assembly them in the country.
Armenian Fund for Developing Business will cooperate with the Iranian company in the field of easing administrative procedures, participation in exhibitions and commercial events, technical assistance and information dissemination.
Iran will export CKD parts worth one million dollars to Armenia to put them together there.
Iranian company also plans to export parts to the other Eurasian member states in addition to Armenia.
