Yellow Vests Protest in France for 28th Week
PARIS (Dispatches) -- Activists gathered in different cities in France for the 28th consecutive week of "yellow vest” protests on Saturday.
In the lead-up to the European Parliament elections, the biggest marches were being held in Paris and Amiens, the birthplace of the incumbent French president. While the marches were mostly peaceful, police in Paris used tear gas against the protesters. The protests started in France in mid-November 2018 over planned fuel tax hikes.
